Husted Tax Defense Services handles and deals with sales tax audits and appeals to the Texas Comptroller's office, USDA Snap violation cases for store owners, assisting clients with compliance, tax debts controversies, and resolutions with the IRS.

With over a decade of experience in tax preparation and compliance including USDA/SNAP trafficking defense, Del Husted oversees all client’s cases are handled with the upmost care and efficiency required for a successful completion.

Del is a native of Texas and more specifically raised in the Houston area. In Del’s early years, he had the advantage of being able to travel to all areas of the world as his late father was a CPA for ARAMCO and working in Saudi Arabia. Del spent some of his childhood years in Saudi Arabia and then attended Culver Military Academy in Indiana where he learned to fly small airplanes.  Del then went on to college to pursue his Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical Science and Criminal Justice. Del then decided it was time to serve his country as things began to heat up in the middle east.

Through his life Del has taken on tough assignments. As a Veteran having served in both Desert Shield and Desert Storm operations along with assignments in Mogadishu, Somalia, and other assignments in the Middle East. Thorought his successful military career, Del has earned numerous awards including Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal and Commendation Medal among other USAF accolades Del which gives him that personal connection with veteran clients.

Del is extremely passionate in his work for his clients and strives to be the best Texas Sales and Use Tax representative along with USDA defense of store owners as well as a liaison between the taxpayer and the IRS to make sure his clients receive the best outcome possible. As Del has traveled to over 40 countries in his lifetime, he has learned to appreciate diversity in many various cultures and has made many friends along the way which has added that more personal touch in his interactions with his clients.

With a history of taking on challenging assignments and impeccable work ethic, Del is more than prepared to assist you with your most complex tax issues from the consult phase to the very end result.

In his off time, Del loves to spend time with his wonderful wife traveling to as many places as possible. Del is a fanatic sports fan and loves his Houston Astros and Houston Texans.  During hunting season, Del is always in search of the “big” buck.
